Kanes Creek South Site 1 Upgrade | Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) Remediation

Green Rivers served as the project designer and construction inspector for the Kanes Creek South Site, located on a private property near Reedsville, WV. The goal was to improve the existing active treatment measures of AMD, discharging from a former mine portal. Green Rivers added a settling pond to capture precipitated metals in addition to a solar powered aeration pump and chemical mixer, all with the intent of improving the efficiency and reducing the amount of lime utilized.
