Cobun Creek | Stream Restoration

Location: monongalia County, WV

Date: Construction 2016 & Monitoring ongoing

Working with the Monongahela District of the West Virginia Conservation Agency and the Morgantown Utility Board, Green Rivers designed and provided construction oversight for the restoration of approximately 1,550 feet of Cobun Creek. Cross-vanes, J-hook structures, and bankfull benches were installed to minimize erosion and re-establish the floodplain. After construction, the riparian zone was revegetated with native species.
